Meet ali
I am thrilled that you have stopped by. I wear many hats - wife, mom of three energetic boys, Holistic Health Coach, activewear & clean living enthusiast, a recovering people-pleaser, and a former wanna be superwoman.
Even after becoming a mom and jumping into the world of motherhood, I continued on my journey to finding balance. I experienced periods of comparison, overwhelm, putting everything else before myself, which only led me to being completely burnt out. I was anxious, depressed, unable to get myself out of bed, feeling completely isolated, lost and confused as to what was happening.
I truly believe that much of what we struggle with in life is what we are meant to teach.
Now in my 40’s, I have developed methods and strategies that allow myself to feel grounded, live intentionally, and allow myself to find balance when I feel myself going off course. I am able to nourish my body in a way that I can still give quality time to my loved ones, carry out my passion for supporting busy women, and live true to myself and to my values and priorities in life. I am not perfect not do I strive for perfection…and there is so much freedom in that.
I am extremely grateful for every part of my journey thus far. I believe that without it, I would not have learned the lessons that I needed to learn in order to live this life of freedom...and help others do the same.
I am now on a mission to help other busy women ditch the overwhelm and start loving the life and the skin they’re in.
My experience + methods
I have 10+ years of experience empowering busy women to find healthier ways of living. And because I am a busy women myself, I understand the struggles and challenges that come along with this role in life. The busy schedules, endless to do’s, juggling of all the things and then some…I’ve been there (still am there!), lived it, and listened to it. And continue to do so.
I mean who hasn’t been racing to get to an appointment, juggling incoming calls, going through mental to do lists, cleaning up spilled coffee on their shirt, trying to figure out what to make for dinner, and dreaming about a day at the spa…all at the same time?!
It’s what we do as busy women, right?
And as humorous as the thought is, let’s be honest, it doesn’t feel good. It’s not what we intended for our lives.
Here’s the good news. I truly believe that it doesn’t have to be this way.
HOWEVER, it wasn’t always that way.
For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about helping and supporting others- friends, family, co-workers... and random strangers alike! I want to truly make a difference in the lives of others, to say "yes" and to do it all. This heart and drive that I have to go above and beyond for others, came out in ways of being a complete people-pleaser. My self sabotaging behaviors caused me at times throughout my life to be completely exhausted, irritable, in pain, seeking outside validation, overwhelmed, and out of touch with my sense of SELF.
From distorted body image, to trying to 'blend in with the crowd,' to eating disorder, to constantly placing judgment on myself, and of course, always striving for perfection in EVERY aspect of my life. I was endlessly defining myself by what others thought, my emotions, my actions, outcomes and so on. Talk about very lost with a BIG heart.
And the funny part is that I have always had the desire to find the healthiest way to live so that I could inspire others. This was a little voice inside my head that I would dance around. I would listen to it here and there...but then the noise of the outside world would take over. I allowed it to be much louder than my intuition. No wonder I hated being alone...it was confusing.
In my early 20’s, equating health with diet alone, I counted calories and planned my days around what I was "allowed" to consume. I would obsess about it...thinking about it continuously as I was in class, hanging out with friends, studying, watching TV...it was CONSTANTLY on my mind. And each day I was eating less and less. And was a total ball of emotion. I was completely lost in a simple task that most people didn’t think twice about… eating.
It was an innocent path that I stumbled down, and fortunately I had some amazing friends that sat me down and encouraged me to face my demons.
And that I did. I went on a self-journey for many years that allowed me to realize that food alone isn't the answer to health, wellness, and vitality.
My family and faith is what motivates me. I work every day to write MY story...and that is what I wish for you as well.
I needed to find ways to achieve balance so that I could be the best version of myself.
I have learned through my journey that telling you to eat cleaner and move your body isn’t the golden ticket to a life of peace + calm that you desire.
Although these are very important ingredients in the recipe of a healthy + vibrant life, we acknowledge that there is needed in the process.
And here’s more the good news.
Being able to wake up in the morning feeling excited for the day…it’s possible.
Heading to work in the morning feeling confident in what’s in store for you for the rest of the day…it’s possible. Talking to your kids and actually listening to them without being distracted with all of your to do’s…it’s possible. Living in the present moment with a clear sense of ownership of your life…it’s possible. Actually following through on the things that you know you should do, and truly want to do…it’s possible.
It’s ALL possible.
Like any good things in life, it takes intention and systems.
And that is why I created the Journal with Intention.
This guided journal for busy women is designed to help you break up with overwhelm and start living with intention. With the help of a ‘how to use this journal section,’ you are able to unload all of those swirling thoughts, categorize them daily, and set intentions that align with your values, priorities, goals and dreams. Say goodbye to the chaos in your mind and hello to a more organized, productive, and intentional life.
Each day you’ll have the opportunity to clear your mind, categorize your thoughts, and set intentions that align your goals and dream.
What others are saying about Journal with Intention
“I am a mom of seven and have been trying to find better balance in my life when it comes to time management and overall wellbeing. I love journals. Love them. But I always buy them and then don’t use them. Those blank pages or random sentence starters either seem too intimidating to start or not relevant enough for my time. This journal is PERFECT. It’s not your standard journal. It allows space for all those thoughts floating around to be put to paper, but then it helps you organize them into something productive! And you get to check off your list!!! Love a good check mark:) Though I haven’t had mine long, I’ve accomplished more each day than before. Significantly more! Simply because I’ve put the thoughts that nag me into a to do list unread of letting them haunt me. I truly am feeling very hopeful that this will be a game changer.”

“As a busy mom, wife and business owner, I have a million thoughts and “need tos” running through my head at any given time. This journal helps me get them all out, so I can decide what is within my control and what I can let go. It is written in a way that inspires and empowers you to be productive, but also allows you to find the calm in your busy life.
